Increase the operational efficiencies, reduce vulnerability, ensure business continuity, and increase the reliability of network service.
Today's IT leaders hope need transparency and simplicity but spend too much time dealing with vendors, billing platforms, complex contracts, erroneous invoicing and other time-intensive or costly processes. Vendor or proprietary lock-in is a common roadblock from companies switching solutions too.
To consolidate vendor burdens while mitigating risks, today's organization's are looking at software and consultative expense solutions to assist with IT lifecycle cost and management. And with today's constantly evolving industry, complex carrier agreements and consistent mergers or acquisitions, quantifying the ROI of vendor or telecom expense management solutions is easier to do now than ever before.
Channel vs. Direct Purchasing
A business can purchase or procure technology and IT products either "direct" from a service provider or through a broker or "channel". Buying direct mean you work directly with a carrier or re-seller of carrier services.
Purchasing from the channel means you buy from a broker or master-agent like Intelisys, PlanetOne, Telarus and Avant Communications. These companies have direct agreements with multiple carriers to offer their services at the exact same pricing if a customer went direct.
The benefit of working directly with a master agent or broker is they receive a percentage o the total amount a customer buys and shares it with the purchaser. Most IT consultants profit from consulting fees on top of product commissions.
Working directly with a broker puts the commission back into the users wallet, however they also loose the services and value the IT consultant was providing or taking on in your behalf.
Everything as a Service (XaaS)
Benefits for Everything as a service (XaaS) models range from predictable, recurring revenue models, higher margins to enhanced customer experiences and employee retention. However, one of the most frequent reasons some companies consider transitioning to an XaaS model is that they can’t afford not to.
Today's CIOs and CTOs are using IT as a service to steer innovation and competitive advantage. The current fast-paced, disruption-driven marketplace often drives an increased need for agility and flexible consumption models.
